Even God Didn’t Understand Women

So, I got this quote from an episode of In Plain Sight, it’s absolutely not a direct quote, but quite excellent and I think everyone should know about this analogy.
The idea behind this is that,
Parents often times want to tell their children what to do, parents pull their children out of dangerous situations, as all parents (and good friends) should do, right? Maybe it’s best to trust your children, maybe you shouldn’t narrate their whole life. Human nature, and this is shown throughout America’s history, that once told we can’t have something, we want it even more than before we were told to avoid it.
For instance, God, let your personal opinions be what they will and take this as a parable. God set Adam and Eve free in the Garden of Eden, he said, “Take it, everything is for you, enjoy yourself. However, whatever you do, do not eat from the tree of Knowledge and Wisdom, stay away from those darned apples, you hear!” All of the sudden, Eve, like any woman told she can’t have something, desires the apples more than ever. The fact that they are forbidden makes them more attractive than ever (a great example for why women like rebels). So of course she just has to try a bite. We all know what happened then, or at least anyone with slight information on religious history. She died. But she didn’t see that, she saw a big red luscious, tasty apple just inviting her in, and while before it stood in the background, not even deserving attention, it’s suddenly it’s in her face, she can’t get rid of it, and she wants it.
So, I do believe you must teach right from wrong, but teach it by educating them, DON’T EAT APPLES, YOU WILL DIE!!!
Also, an interesting bit of trivia, scholars believed that pomegranates could be the forbidden fruit. No, people, we are not trying to verify that Eve herself ate an apple in that time frame, we are trying to imagine what would be the most likely to be “forbidden fruit”. The idea was that pomegranates are tangy and sweet, red and juicy, cool and hard until you put the slightest pressure on them and they explode in your mouth. Doesn’t that just spell “forbidden fruit” to you more than any other fruit you know of?
About
Makes more sense in origin too, actually, since the apple originates in Central Asia, while the Pomegranate was a SouthWest Asian plant in origin, which is where most of the bible takes place.
Also, sure you don’t mean sight?
Heh, yes I did mean sight. XD
GIMME A BREAK I WAS TIRED! =P
